From AVbyte over on YouTube comes what could be the opening to a perfect Sherlock musical. Musical parodies are fussy things, and somehow, this one is just generally awesome.
(It has the minorest of spoilers for the beginning of Season 3, but really nothing that gives anything away… unless you thought Sherlock was actually dead.)
What we love most about this might be the way that the two singers are perfectly aping Freeman and Cumberbatch’s deliveries—so this actually sounds like what you’d imagine the actors would sound like singing.
Kind of wishing there was more of it. Like, a whole show’s worth.

I fear it’s pretty much unwatchable if you’re British — the accents and the locations are too American.
@@@@@ drplokta – I concur. And the Freeman one doesn’t even seem to me to be *trying* to ape the delivery, just doing his own thing.
It is pretty obviously Riverside Park in NYC for people familiar with it, but I can’t blame them for not ponying up for tickets to London.
